Federal Tax Forms

Choose one of the following options to get your federal forms:

  • The IRS will mail tax forms to your home for free. To order tax forms directly from the IRS, call (800) 829-3676.

  • Order or print out tax forms online at the IRS website.

  • You can pick up copies of the 1040 and 1040-SR (for seniors age 65+) here at the library during our outdoor service hours. Call the library and we can set them aside for you, depending on availability. We will also print off any schedules corresponding to the 1040 and 1040-SR forms free of charge.

Low Income Taxpayer Clinics (LITC)

There are 4 LITC locations in Massachusetts providing dervices to taxpayers who are low income or who speak English as a second language (ESL):

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

Low to moderate-income taxpayers may be eligible for free tax preparation services at an IRS approved VITA location. Virtual assistance may also be available too. To find a location near you, you may use the VITA Locator tool at www.irs.treasury.gov/freetaxprep/ or call (800) 906-9887.

AARP Tax Aide Program

For qualifying senior taxpayers, the AARP Foundation’s Tax Aid Program provides free tax preparation services. For more information or to find a location near you, call (888) 687-2277.
