Borrow Books & More
Barre is Connected with Massachusetts Libraries. Your library card will give you access to our library and participating libraries in central and western Massachusetts. Manage your account through the CWMARS Catalog. Visit other libraries in person and check out items that day. All items can be returned to Barre and we’ll send them back for you. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in CWMARS, we’ll try to find it in the State or somewhere in the U.S. Libraries lend all kinds of things: books, DVDs, audiobooks, museum passes, telescopes, magazines, games, music, seeds, cake pans, etc.

We recommend searching the CWMARS catalog before the Commonwealth Catalog. If the material is not owned by any Massachusetts library, our staff can submit a request from other states through WorldCat. Please keep in mind that a request does not guarantee that the item will be loaned to the Barre library. If an Interlibrary Loan request is filled, loan periods and fines are determined by the lending library. Barre patrons are responsible for paying for lost, damaged, or overdue materials.
For questions about Interlibrary Loan, please contact Jenna Garvey, Interlibrary Loan Specialist, at (978) 355-2533 x103, or jgarvey@barrelibrary.org.
