From Book to Film: Sci-Fi & Fantasy

Get ready for an evening of fantasy creatures, dystopian worlds, androids, wizards and magic, and other science fictions!

Explore some of the most successful (and least successful) film adaptations of sci-fi/fantasy books -- including Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, King Arthur, Blade Runner, and The Hunger Games -- with movie buff Frank Mandosa, who will share his popular presentation filled with photos, video clips & trivia.

Mandosa is a full-time high school Film and English teacher. He has given film lectures at libraries, senior centers, and community centers across the state since 2012. Mandosa is the host of a movie-themed podcast 'Screen Savers' and co-host of 'Reel Life,' an award-winning local access TV show that features movie reviews.
